"exhibitionism" might be a better word to use.
There was a comment a few days ago about there being plenty of wierdness in Japan. There was something about there being plenty of noble things in the U.S. too. I agree on both counts. Since I'm in Japan, however, I thought I would pass on this link as exhibit A of said wierdness. Nothing too outrageous. The pics are supposed to display "in Harajuku fashion." Some of the comments are humorous because they are not the comments I would use as captions.

I don't know for sure what the word Harajuku means. But if I saw those girls in the US, I would call them Goths which is still in fashion in High Schools. Though in the US the Goths seem to dress mainly in black with less makeup and not mini skirts. So I think the word Harajuku means Goth. When my girls have parties every once in awhile they invite some friends who dress in Goth styles. Interesting that Japan has their own version of that style or maybe the US ripped them off and we have our own take on their style? Pretty cool - so have you seen any on the street? If you do show them some pics of your boys and see what they say . . .
I ain't no hollaback girl.
ps: "'i' before 'e' except after 'c' and when sounding the ay as in neighbors and weigh and weird is spelled in a very weird way.
